I really like these geometric shapes against the texture/color backgrounds you find. Do you do much post-processing?
Usually not much. I work with flat scans if analogue or digital raw, so they mostly need constrast and color adjustment. Some may need a bit of cropping. If that’s not enough, it usually means that the picture does not work anyway. Most of my work is done by recognising the right motif. Having the right film or camera helps in regards to colour.
This one – a detail from an old, sun-burnt road sign – was no different.
Your images are important to me. I enjoy the apparent simplicity with a second layer of complexity just beneath the surface. Tony
